Diffusers Type SRV

Diffusers for installation in hydraulic tanks for direct connection to the return line using female thread BSP or NPT. Calms the return-flow oil and reduces foaming and tank noise using two concentric steel tubes with offset discharge openings. Installation completely below the minimum liquid level with the closed surface facing towards the pump intake side. Upper end cap made of aluminium, other components made of steel, galvanised.

The SRV series of diffusers from STAUFF are the ideal solution for stabilising the return flow of oil in hydraulic tanks. They are installed directly in the tank and connected to the return line. Thanks to their special design, they reduce foaming and noise in the tank, thus contributing to operational safety and extending fluid service life. diffusers are a perfect addition to STAUFF return line filters.

Product overview

Our category includes the following versions:

  • SRV with BSP female thread: Screw-in version to ISO 228 for direct connection to the return line.

  • SRV with female NPT thread: Screw-in version according to ANSI B1.20.1 for applications with US standard threads.

Available options:

  • Connection sizes from G3/4 to G3 (or 3/4 NPT to 3 NPT)

  • Maximum flow rate: 50 l/min to 950 l/min

  • Temperature range: -20 °C to +100 °C

  • Operating pressure: up to 20 bar

Functionality of the diffusers

The diffusers are installed completely below the liquid level, with the closed surface facing the pump suction side. The returning oil is channelled through two concentric steel pipes with offset outlet openings. This design ensures even distribution of the oil in the tank, reduces turbulence and prevents foaming. This minimises noise and reduces the risk of cavitation.
