Blog Rules (Netiquette)
The STAUFF blog primarily serves as an information channel for you, the reader, through which we aim to provide relevant, interesting, entertaining and helpful content of a diverse nature. In addition, as a registered user, you have the opportunity to leave comments on blog entries. Thus, the STAUFF blog also functions as a platform for the free exchange of opinions on blog entries and resulting discussions.
Commenting on Blog Entries
In order to be able to comment on blog posts, a one-time registration ("Signup" button) as a user is required. When registering, you will be asked to enter your first name, a user name, a valid e-mail address and a password. A secure password consists of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters, cannot be found in a dictionary and is not related to you or your family. So if possible, do not use names, dates of birth, telephone numbers or similar.
Registered users can log in again at any time ("Login" button). As a registered user, you have the option of adding further information to your user profile.
For the comment function and the associated user administration, we use the Hyvor Talk service of the provider Hyvor. Please also note the information in the privacy statement.
Please write your comments in the tone that you would wish to use as the author of a blog post. Even if you completely disagree, we ask that you always formulate your comments in a friendly manner and show tolerance towards contrary opinions. Also, avoid using strong or vulgar language. Insults also have no place in the discussions!
If you disagree with an article or comment, criticise its content and do not attack the author. Also, do not create sexist, pornographic or violence glorifying posts as well as improper comments or discrimination.
Please treat other people's intellectual property with care. When quoting, please refer or link to the author. If you are unsure whether you are allowed to use a quote, we strongly advise you to ask the author.
Advertising and other commercial content have no place in the discussions. You are welcome to use further links on the topic of the blog post. If other reasons for linking are apparent in your comments, we reserve the right to remove them.
Disclaimer: Comments on blog entries on the STAUFF blog reflect the opinion or view of the respective author and not necessarily the official position of STAUFF. STAUFF does not assume any liability for the accuracy and completeness of the content. Each author is responsible for the comments he or she publishes.
Moderating and Deleting Comments
The comments are first moderated by the blog editors. This means that comments do not go online on our blog immediately, but must first be viewed and then activated. This can lead to a delay of several hours before they are activated.
With the moderation of the blog, we would like to reserve the possibility of deleting the content listed in the blog rules in comments without informing the author in advance and thus not allowing it to become visible to other readers in the first place.
We strive to make the moderation of your comments as transparent as possible and therefore usually justify our intervention with short comments. We also clearly mark where we have shortened comments and removed unwanted content.
Nevertheless, we reserve the right to exclude users from discussion in the event of serious or repeated violations of our blog rules by temporarily or permanently blocking their access.
Guest Contributions from Guest Authors
Guest authors also have the opportunity to publish guest posts on the STAUFF Blog. Guest contributions by guest authors are always marked as such. If you are interested, please send an e-mail to marketing@stauff.com with a topic proposal.
